Manic Street Preachers updated their Facebook.
A black image with three bluey green lines in the centre. A sign of engines beginning to crank up?

They’ve updated their logo to one with the font from the good design era. Stand by your beds.

Seems like it's the beginnings of promoting the reissue whenever it will arrive. I don't expect anything amazing on the reissue but will be interesting to hear the demos of some songs. A dvd / blu ray probably won't be on there sadly.

Fear of Motion in high quality without snap crackle pops is pretty much worth the reissue on its own, tbh.

The new avatar image is the paint splatter from the bottom/middle of the KYE artwork with colours inverted/swapped

Twitter updated too! Marketing Bill probably £10,000 for that bit of work I imagine.

The official site has been crap for years, and I hope someone who works on it reads this - UPDATE (!!!) the site, it still shows the latest imagine of Nick's writing saying the new single is Walk me to the Bridge! It's 8 years ago! Come on, make it better with more stuff to read about / look at / watch.

I just noticed the Favicon for the official site is for The Holy Bible. Presuming that was from the re-issue.

That site really needs some love and care.

I'd almost posted the cover photo update in Random Manics Thoughts!
Didn't twig it was as a colour distorted KYE image.
Just felt compelled to post about it here.

impatiently waiting for the announcement, i knocked together Solidarity as a playlist for the drive in this morning... initial thoughts are:

very weird starting with Intravenous, not sure that works for me

Masses slots in very well between Convalescent and Guernica - makes much more sense counting it as a KYE era song than TIMT

timing and structure means Wattsville Blues lands right as I'm driving into the car park, so that's (a) what colleagues would be exposed to if my windows were down, and (b) that is now stuck in my head for the day above any other tracks. definitely not sure if that works for me.

see Nicky's teasing on Instagram, announcement today maybe..?

I’ve always had it as the first track on my DIY tracklisting for KYE. It’s a great opener.
