Radcliffe and Maconie Show

Heard the Manics play a brilliant set on the above's last show on R2 and noted that Radcliffe said they would be going out for a pint after the show.James said that Sean or Nicky never go out for a drink but he would be game. So,the only pub media types go in from the BBC on Oxford Road is The Lass o Gowrie.Sure enough,20 mins after the show messrs Radcliffe,Maconie,Bradfield,Moore and HOLDER were at the bar!
Not cool enough to say hello straight away,I had a beer and the party moved to a private room.
5 mins later James comes out for a smoke and I collar him for a quick chat about the winter tour and the new uk dates.
Corrects me on my Llandudno pronunciation and reminiscences about past Wolverhampton gigs.Told me the first time they played Wolves,Norman Wisdom was on the night before and reaffirmed that it is one of their favourite places to play!

Wow. I'm spinning.Love real life!
Cheers james!

That's awesome I didn't know they were on the show tonight! I was out at a Peter Gabriel gig, that's a shame. Still I'll iPlayer it.
I'm jealous you met them!

I did half seriously consider driving over to Manchester last night and stalking them.

What a pitiful-looking buffet!

No mini quiches? No vol au vents? No chicken drumsticks? This is shocking. Why didn't they get some nice buffet platters from Tesco's???
