YAY!!! Cardiff tickets! Now I just need a place to stay the night! Um.. I'd love to see The Everlasting with the solo in it; I have always wanted that live. PCP and 1985 would be so good though, maybe a couple b-sides.....if I heard Are Mothers Saints I'd be so damn happy and as soon as I hear ".....your love aaalllooonnneee....", I'll be off to buy a drink..

1985 is the Lifeblood track they should drop in as much as possible really. There are plenty of good tracks on that album that don't come across well live or they haven't figured out how to get the best out of them, but 1985 always sounds good.

Please please, it would be great hearing 1985 live again in Cardiff.

Is it you, Nicky?

Very realistic setlist for the mini-tour. I suspect them to drop either Suicide Is Painless, Roses or La Tristesse as they might include Life becoming A Landslide. Australia might return, and Stephen Hawking could stay in for a while? And Suicide Alley once more, in Cardiff maybe? You Stole The Sun again as a full band too, I guess.

My dream-realistic setlist:

Found That Soul
Motorcycle Emptiness
Your Love Alone Is Not Enough
You Love Us
(It’s Not War) Just The End Of Love
Australia
Life Becoming A Landslide
Suicide Alley
Postcards From A Young Man
1985
Yes
La Tristesse Durera (but hopefully Sleepflower )
Motown Junk
If You Tolerate This Your Children Will Be Next
This Is Yesterday (acoustic)
Ready For Drowning (acoustic)
Peeled Apples
Faster
Some Kind Of Nothingness
You Stole The Sun From My Heart
Tsunami
Design For Life
Masses Against The Classes (Yes!)

I really hope they 'beef up' the setlist after the acoustic break a it, as suggested above.

06. Of Walking Abortion
07. She Is Suffering
08. La Tristesse Durera
09. Found That Soul
10. Die In The Summertime
11. Marlon JD
12. All Is Vanity
13. Motorcycle Emptiness
14. PCP
15. Love Torn Us Under (JDB solo acoustic)
16. Facing Page: Top Left (JDB solo acoustic)
17. RP McMurphy (JDB solo acoustic)
18. Peeled Apples
19. Stay Beautiful
20. No Surface All Feeling

All I really want is to hear some songs I've never heard live. Just a couple. Even if they only play the few they've helpfully prepared us for (because god forbid we'd go to a Manics gig and be surprised) I'll be satisfied.

Yeah, right.
As wonderful as this would be, I don't think we'll escape A Design For Life. Not that I have a problem with that, trul brilliant song. Just don't want them to end with it again.

Hadn't they been ending with Masses? They used to do that in 2001.

I think that's a given.

A realistic prediction based on Wire's tweets and a little bit of wishlistisms.... I think they should end on Motorcycle Emptiness, for a change

Personally I think if they were going to perform The Holy Bible in its entirity it would be better suited to smaller venues.

As for set lists I'm not expecting much change from the last few times I've seen them. The regulars and hits will all be there. Personally as long as I enjoy the evening they could play a whole bunch of songs I don't like normally.

Saying that though opening with Found That Soul and ending on The Masses Against The Classes would be good.
