latest blog rant on this right here for those of you with the willpower to read it. although i am quite proud of my implied comment that Sony should "fuck off and make lawnmowers or something".

whoops, never took it as one, so let's start again!

yeah, this is Sony. they who came up with "Region Code Enhancing" on DVDs and continued to use it after the US Government told them not to. etc, etc.

and cheers for the compliment, happy reading if you browse the rest of my blog

i have no doubt than rather not keep the money they have not charged people they will rather post out any old shit. no matter how badly water damaged the paper used to make the box out is. no matter how much more glue than CD there is in the box. and no matter how many times Stand Up For Your Love Rights by Yazz And The Plastic Population features on the discs rather than anything by the Manics, let alone what it says on the water damaged paper envelope.

Got the delay email today. Was a little disappointed but it also gave me a sanity check, god knows it's needed at the moment! Emailed them to cancel the order but then a few hours later got a dispatch email. According to UPS it was last located in Sweden but should be here tomorrow.

the official site still lists the standard 2 CD version tracks as the tracklisting for the box, titled "CD1 and CD2".

Maybe with collectors like these on the market fighting over the freebie TITD singles, the £165 box set isn't overpriced after all.

Kinda wishing I'd preordered 2 copies now given the price that's going for, that's quite horrifying.

My copy turned up! Number 0249 according to the little label inside.

Feels quite cheap. The CD cases all have the same back with the diagonal stipe just different colours. The CDs themselves are vinyl style but don't even say what they are, they just have the same colour and stripe as the back of the cases as the label.

The vinyl's are nice, the box ok but the inside that holds the cds had been bashed a bit. The mirror is just tat, barely better than the kind of thing you'd find in a christmas cracker.

Overall I always knew I was getting ripped off so I'm not too disappointed but it really should have been no more than £100 with all its limitations.

No, the mirror is plain with no markings on it anywhere.

The lipstick is just an ordinary one from here: http://www.barrym.com/lip-paint
It's LP121 - Pillar box red, no band label or anything.

But, most importantly, have the bsides been remastered and how do they sound?

Wow. Even if the CDs were packaged in a way befitting of a 'super deluxe' set and the lipstick and vanity mirror had been branded and the DVD wasn't full of low quality shit, this would still have been expensive at £165. Now it's a total swindle.

Did you even get the Motown Junk vinyl for your sins of being lured into buying this?
