Yes. The solo, just played again. Wish they'd stop titting about with it, the same goes for the palm-muted chug at the end of the song.

They should play it like this again http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ypj76PLF4IU

Sure the new fans will say that each gig was 'amaaayyyzinggggg' but really?

Some time off would do us all the world of good.
I agree. I have been fortunate enough to see the band a lot over the past few years, so a break from them will make me look forward to seeing them again.

Hello, my name is Cat, I am a manager at The O2 arena (and a Manics fan) and I'd like to send a message to all the Manics fans on the FD forum. I hope this helps:

- There was definitely not a DVD shoot and no commercial DVD will be released. The concert was also not recorded for a CD release.
- We delayed the start of the concert, and reduced the interval as we were concerned about getting everyone into the arena in 1 hour. Apologies for any delays, as it's not how we usually do things. The band were lovely and agreed to help out, and we hope no-one missed any songs.
- We still have some standing tickets in our possession and, if you would like one as a souvenir, please e-mail customerservices@theO2.co.uk with your postal address, and we will post one out to you. This is free and we do not even ask for postage.
- Abstract Unknown Girl (Laura) please e-mail me, I feel we owe you an apology.

Thanks.
Thank you for passing this on from the O2.

Couldn't disagree more. I thought the intro trumpet was one of the highlights of the gig. Sounds a much more reflective tune now
compared to the Cuba gig trying to be smart with it playing it in drop d. I like the final chug too!

I thought it was the best I've ever heard it, and I also love the chug! haha

Same here, this version of Ocean Spray was definately the best ever. Listen to those vocals too! Goosebumps all the way!

And can anyone clear out whose vocals I hear in the chorus of Let Robeson Sing? Obviously James and Gruff, but there's also a Nicky-like voice in the background, though he's not singing, nor Sean, Sean or Wayne. A backing track then?

Gruff was using an odd guitar tuning in that song

It looks to me like James takes the main chorus vocal and Gruff drops down an octave.

Yeah, I liked the trumpet solo intro too.

I haven't listened back to any of the gig yet, but that's what I assumed at the time as well.

Hi Sue, i probably should do! her login wasnt working, probably expired... she really wanted to clear things up for everyone though, which is far enough.

the 02 gig sounded amazing, i really wish i had gotten off my backside and come down for it..

Gig of the Year? http://j.mp/uLI5R8

Gave it four stars at the time, but looking back the memories are definitely five star.

I'd just like to apologise to the girl next to me,who said that she'll never be able to hear "Let Robeson sing" the same way again, after I pointed out that the intro sounds quite like the theme from "Bagpuss"....
