Good pics The article didn't interest me much, though I usually like reading the NME.

Thanks for that. I'll be having to buy the NME this week then. I feel a bit more positive Sounds like the Ian McCulloch duet is going to be very good though!

This has got me excited about seeing the reviews the album gets. I LOVE seeing the ratings. NME gave SATT 8 out of 10 didn't they?!

Ooh sounds good and I'm feeling more hopeful. I was well pissed off that I didn't like It's Not War on the first few listens and this has cheered me up.

Love the pics too.

Have to get NME tomorrow.

I really do not want the Manics channelling Oasis!

I'd like that.
I get the feeling this is a very personal album to themselves.

It all sounds quite interesting in that it seems to be all over the place musically, in a sense it does, but what I got from the reviewer it doesn't seem to be a totally original/authentic Manics record, Nicky said himself they were going for a Queen-sound in Postcards From A Young Man. I'd agree that perhaps instead they're going for a more personal record this time around. Time will tell I spose, hell from the descriptions they gave us I'm just dying to give The Descent a listen, definitely sounds like my kind of tune (if it's anything close to being in the vein of No Surface, All Feeling I'm sure I'll fall in love with it in a matter of seconds.)

TGW is worried... Maybe, just maybe, they'll be something you don't like

It's amazing how in 2010 the NME can put a positive spin on 'channelling Oasis at their most Mott The Hoople'. Nicky has that current editorial team jammed so securely in his back pocket it's unreal.

Golden Platitudes sounds like the most potentially interesting track so far, although I worry that it might turn out to be another SWSS.
