albums certification:
if the sales of each album of the manics pass the 60000 copies why only appears these albums with certification: http://www.bpi.co.uk/certifiedawards/search.aspx
I read that know your enemy sold about 200000 copies in uk, lifeblood about 80000 and postcards might be silver status because pass the 80000 copies. Has somebody a answer? |

I'd love to know the answer to this myself. I have no idea about KYE sadly at all or Lifeblood. Postcards must be over 90,000 now, closing in on 100,000 for a gold disc

Think you've gotta pay the bpi so they can give you some shiny disc saying you've sold some albums. Bit silly.

Yeah, correct! And the record companies won't bother spending money on this unless they can use it for advertisement. Back in the days "KYE went gold" wouldn't have been very impressive after the massive success of TIMT/EMG. And a silver disc is rarely worth bragging about. That being said, Postcards and Journal has both sold more than 60000, Postcards may even go gold if the next single boost its sales (unlikely though...)

Postcards is #144 in 2010 bestselling albums with 94200 copies. The gold status is near. I think in one month they will reach. http://www.buzzjack.com/forums/index...owtopic=123834
