Jake Bugg - not as bad as I thought he'd be from his truly obnoxious interviews, but is it just me or is he just Bromheads Jacket/Little Man Tate/Milburn/any of a thousand other sub-Arctic Monkeys bands which NME tried to make us care about in 2005/6?

VV Brown - never been that arsed about her, but the new album is some mean, lean electro-pop and I think I might be getting it. Kind of what I thought Light Asylum would sound like from their reviews when they were just noisy nonsense.

Polica - I love Polica and won't hear a word against them. Nicky is clearly captivated and watching intently.
My Mum was saying she liked Polica and I was very impressed too! Yes, spotted an enthralled Nicky in the background!

Listening (only) to the Manics' songs again this morning, they sounded better to me than it seemed watching last night.

Don't get me wrong, I thought they were great, it was just Nicky's serious face peering out the shadows that amused me.

Don't panic everyone!
Got a good feeling that this is the calm before the storm of the next album
RTF is hardly an album they can promote with political rants and vitriol!
To me it's clear this album has a theme all the way through about middle age and growing old with a hint of death and the death of ideals (specifically Wires)
So the interviews an promotion etc seen to reflect the album quite well.

Hopefully, and I do expect this, the band will come out swinging next year

oh i don't think people were worried about the interview, more the performance which was just *good* . My casual manics fan friend noticed something was off

Watching this on iPlayer. Had subtitles on. Loving the misheard lyrics they've got.

"I have seen their records move in reverse".

(probably already mentioned)

That's daft. The lyrics are I've seen the mirrorballs move in reverse.

My girlfriend heard 'I've seen vehicles move in reverse', which I think I prefer. Perhaps we need a remix, accompanied by a regular beeping sound and a loud yet tinny warning speech. I'm sure Public Service Boredcasting could handle that. (See what I did there? Years of training....)

Anyway I think this thread covers all that http://www.foreverdelayed.org.uk/for...ad.php?t=59906

Yes I'd agree with this sadly. Not too sure about the album myself on the whole either...

*Waits for ambush, feels rather sorry for being down about it*

That said I love Rewind the Film! I keep listening to it over and over again.

the standard edition of the album is at number 63 in the Amazon top 100. It's up to number 13 and 18 in the indie list. Not set the world on fire but ITS GONE UP

just sayin'
