Lost them in the US for over 10+ years. Two great stores in New York City back in early 2000s. Absolutely loved them. Lots of Manics singles purchased there for decent prices

Yeah, I have found myself listening to different parts of the album over the past couple of weeks as well. Only really skip Don't Let the Night Divide Us and Into the Waves of Love at this point.

It's difficult to choose a favourite, as usual.
The whole album is beautiful, as usual.

However, Diapause and Don't Let the Night Divide Us seem to be the ones fighting for that special spot in my heart. ♡

I haven't posted in years but UVL is their finest album since JFPL and that's saying something! I haven't read through much of the comments but there are a lot of lyrics about Richey and dealing with the past. It's refreshing, melancholic, uplifting, and the songs are some of the best they've ever written. Diapause breaks my heart every time I hear it. "I've burnt so many bridges but not the one that leads to you" brings a tear to my eye as I imagine the regret the lads have over Richey.

I've been enjoying the album for sure, but yesterday's listen was the definite it's clicked moment for me, where I now see it as a great rather than good album

I don't mind admitting I cried like a baby when I heard it, I love this band, they can be vitriolic, pissed off, but with this album I've really seen the band/Nicky in a different light, hes really been honest especially with Diapause thats a real brutally honest heart felt lyric, I mean the song as a whole just sounds like someone totally broken.

Beautifully executed by James, it must have been hard to see your best friend so lost nevermind having to read those lyrics.

Yes, this exactly - I didn't even order it until they forced my hand with all the offers, as it didn't sound like my thing at all. I don't even know why I like it so much, it IS really catchy and poppy, but also so haunting in the style of Truth. And every song seems to have something unexpected that just makes it.

I love the positivity around TUVL, but I still think Even in Exile is the finest Manics-related album in 20 years.

Still awaiting my copy of the album to arrive to The States (even though it "shipped' just before release date)...
So I'm still complaining.
Sucks being a Manics fan in the US.

Aye it's dropping quick like all the albums have done they've released in the last 12 years or so Hopefully they pick up a few sales from people seeing them on tour, they really need some good TV exposure but seems too late for that now. Oh well
