Not only that, I've just realised it could be taken as a "Richey reference". Different bridge, but...

That was my first thought. Then I realised it could also be some terrible wanky muso self-referencing crap about song structure. I think the former would actually be in better taste.

Well, like the cover to RTF, I'd rather they made references like that themselves than bands like "Ideal".

I found this today:
http://www.komparse.de/Gesuch25932.htm

Translated content:
We are looking for a tall, slim and sporty woman in Berlin for a music video shoot in Berlin and Wales. The music video is for the famous british band "Manic Street Preachers" and will be directed by 2014 Bafta winner Kieran Evans.
The music video is for the new song "Walk Me to the Bridge", and its concept and atmosphere is based on the movie "Lola rennt" (Run Lola Run). The main protagonist is running from bridge to bridge and is constantly faced with decisions which lead her to the next station/bridge.

Not every bridge reference they make is about Richey, y'know The one on the SATT cover was in New York, yet people presumed it was the Severn.

What a dull song title and concept.

I'm more bothered about what the song sounds like and that is yet to be known.

I agree. By all accounts it is brilliant. Q said so, robin turner tweeted something a few days ago saying it was "fucking schizophrenic".

SMTW it is not.

I liked SMTW it was a step in the right direction(and RWTF as a whole) after the overblown fest that was Postcards

Run Lola Run is a great film, if the video is based on it then to me it indicates the song might be quite frenetic. Can't wait to hear it and see the video.

But it has been referenced so often and it looks quite dated - personal opinion.
However, I'm reserving judgment on actually SEEING the video. If you summed the concept for any Manics video up in a couple of sentences it would sound silly, and a lot of them are great. The past 3 were each extremely well suited to the songs they went with, so it's probably going to look better than it reads.
