"This is the title track off our new album Futurology. This is called Futurology."

Nicely done, JDB.

Wow. Shows how much of a difference a good mix can do. Song sounds so so much better than I thought it would from my Cardiff gig impression. Promising stuff.

Probably just my ears but I can hear some killer drum rolls into the chorus. Studio version is going to be BIG, I think! Isn't this the song with the bloke from SFA playing on it? I wonder what he plays on it....

Has anybody tackled the lyrics for Futurology yet? I only really bothered figuring out Nicky's chorus so far so that I knew what to sing at him Would be good to get a handle on the actual verses at some point too.

Still can't make out the lyrics on the verses at all.... apart from the opening line which sounds like "Defenders of the faith"

Chorus appears to be:

We'll come back one day, we never really went away - went away....
One day we will return, no matter how much it hurts - and it hurts.

Although I am probably off on that as well

Yeah, that's the chorus

I'll have to give the thing a proper listen tomorrow and try and decipher it.

I've been trying with the lyrics… alternate suggestions/corrections welcome as always.

*??* = really not sure

Futurology

Defenders of the faith
With cruel hearts they break
*?Whose loving makes a cure*?
Scared to say a word
We've all fallen prey
To keep the wolves at bay

We'll come back one day
We never really went away
Went away

One day we will return
No matter how much it hurts
And it hurts

*?We've all cast a glance?*
All their broken plans
All failed ourselves
We've done the best we can
A magnifying glass
With questions left to ask

We'll come back one day
We never really went away
Went away

One day we will return
No matter how much it hurts
And it hurts

We'll come back one day
We never really went away
Went away

One day we will return
No matter how much it hurts
And it hurts

If the "Dalek Invasion Of Earth" ever had a rock soundtrack, this song sounds perfect for The Doctor's goodbye speech to Susan!

The lyrics sound ominous but I'm probably being stupid.
