Sean needs to put a couple of pounds back on to get back those boyish good looks.
So we're thinking he lost all that weight on purpose? Nothing to worry about then?

I really didn't like the first one but if it's true that they ever had a thought of printing out the second one on t-shirt for Pre-Futurology tour, I'm definitely glad that they didn't. (maybe a slight reference to Krautrock on the second one?)
Hahahaha!!! Thanks, you just made my day!!!

nah nothing to worry about..he normally goes on a fitness kick before an album release/tour i think so he doesn't kill himself playing them drums.

Yes! Great song. By far the best from the Lifeblood era. Shame that it will probably never be played live ever again ever.

It's another absolutely stunning gem that's been cruelly locked away. I've often wondered if Lifeblood would have done much better had it been released as the lead single like they'd planned (or at least not 'put the band on their arse') Would definitely have had more airplay than Nixon, might even have got to No. 1

I hope I'm right in thinking it might get an airing at the autumn/christmas shows. I mean it sort of has links to Richey, friendship, growing up and the beginning of the band if you get my gist. Going from setlist.fm apart from a couple of international gigs it's not been played live since christmas 2007. Fingers crossed!

My second random Manics thought of the night relates to the following article:

http://thequietus.com/articles/13264...y-track-review

Regarding Anthem for a Lost Cause, does it say 'he (James) did all of that'? Do I take that to mean James played drums and bass, or am I just reading too much into things while tired?

James wrote the music and worked on the lyrics, so he must mean that.

I had a slice of carrot cake in a cafe today. When it arrived, it was much bigger than I expected. I said.

'It's the biggest piece of carrot cake I've ever seen' then got 'Next Jet to Leave Moscow' firmly lodged in my brain.

What am I missing here? Carrot cake makes you think of NJTLM because...?

EDIT: Never mind. Got it. Because of the "biggest living hypocrite" lyric, right?
