That's not a bad idea, actually. The only way to stop these gits is to report them when possible.

That's a good point. I remember you weren't allowed to sell Live 8 tickets on eBay, which you had to win, but people got round it by selling pens for hundreds of pounds and including a "free Live 8 ticket".

I doubt they'll give a shit and they're not selling an actual ticket just a place so I doubt it even goes against any rules, just sucks for the fans who want to go legitimately

"Tickets to Free Events

Members are not permitted to sell tickets to events where all tickets are free to the public."

According to eBay's rules. But yeah, they might not care.

I have somehow ended up taking someone to a gig who has never even heard of the band, as she just expected me to take her. Considering just telling her it turns it was only one ticket and taking my flatmate who does actually really like them. Or is that too evil?

No it's not! Take that girl to dinner or to another gig, this is too special and your flatmate should have this opportunity!

Be evil, your flatmate is your flatmate after all!

I personally think it would be better to take an actual fan of the band (i.e. your flatmate) to a show like this. There's always the October tour if you want to her to a Manics show.

I didn't win and its really pissed me off that people who don't want to go are selling guest tickets/+1 for a gig that so many of us wanted to go to!!!!!!!!!! I know it's hard to police things like this but why should people make money out of something like this when other people would love to be there??????

Guess I'm not getting my perfect birthday present then?

That's presumably why they can make money...I bet some people here pay it too.
