Tired sounding music, lyrics are quite embarrassing albeit well meaning and it just seems to chug along.

I think it's between Underdogs and Epicentre for me...

But the manics have written *far* worse songs, both musically and lyrically!

C'mon, you can't honestly tell me you think underdogs is the *worst* thing they have ever made? o.O

I don't know, I just find it very.. there. JDB's singing is great of course, and the lyrics are great, but the harp (or whatever instrument it is) just absolutely ruins it for me. I can't stand it. Like the xylophones on The Great Western album, that sort of thing is enough to put me off, no matter how brilliant the rest of the song is.

I guess I'm just weird like that

Another example: I love Underdogs. Doctor, is there something wrong with me?

Well, maybe Epicentre is but I'm hard pushed to think of any that are worse than these two songs. Epicentre commits the crime of being dull but not necessarily bad. It's probably worse than Underdogs because of this but I still can't get over how embarrassing Underdogs is.

Have you heard the demo version of it on the 10th anniversary edition of EMG? It's the song minus the harp and James sounds more subdued.

Yes, get to bed and don't surface until your mind is changed.

I haven't heard it, no. I should still get the 10th anniversary anyway! I'm sure it's so much better without the harp. God, I hate that fucking harp...

Oh dear, it's that serious then? Because I've also got a case of love for Autumnsong. Tell me, how much longer do I have? I can take it.

I don't like the harp either. The demo is way better.

I love Failure Bound for some bizarre reason...probably for the same reason I love Miss Europa!

Worst song - I find I'm Not Working pretty aimless. Although as is the case with a lot of songs I can start of by violently hating them and then one day I'll suddenly listen and think they're great (Underdogs and Revol being prime cases of this...)
