I hope James does more guitar pyrotechnics on this album than he did on his first solo album, which didn't really show off his guitar playing abilities.

Has to be some imminent news on this.

It’s meant to be out in August or September but no dates yet in any of the upcoming release charts I’ve seen.

First review of the album next Tuesday in Q.
You just know it will be sealed up in the newsagents!
I didn't even get the one from this month with James in it.

EDIT: Well I say "first", other online things might preempt. It's not going to have any bearing on if I should or shouldn't buy the album.

Apparently they were working on the store - a friend of mine sent me a screenshot.

He said listings were up, including signed vinyl.

Announcement tomorrow?

Assume once those two tracks are live here in the UK, there'll be an announcement and pre-order going up tomorrow too...

Just heard the two tracks -

There'll Come A War is a lovely mid tempo song that's reminiscent of something off TGW with some lovely piano and electronic sounding drums - bit Distant Colours-esque in places.

Seeking The Room With The Three Windows is an instrumental that has some interesting guitar work and is very dynamic and has some great chords. The main riff is a bit prog and the loud bits remind me of a GT b-side.

I had very low expectations but I have to say I like these songs - a TGW 2 would have been good but this is as good as it'll get.

It's happening!

Who knows, maybe the board will see regular visits in the double figures.
The conversation is all on twitter these days though, being on here you sometimes feel like a familiar given a corner of the basement while the twitterati party upstairs.
