I enjoyed my first (long overdue!) Manics gig at Edinburgh the other week so much that I was desperate to see them again, and have been keeping going onto Ticketmaster ever since to check if there were still tickets available for Carlisle as it's within reasonable driving distance from here. The only potential stumbling block was the hubby but I raised the subject yesterday and in the end he didn't actually take much persuasion at all so I got the tickets booked straightaway! We've never been to a gig in Carlisle before but I've always wondered what the Sands is like as a gig venue, so am looking forward to finding out!

My postman asked where I was off to next

We get on OK, I gave him several pounds of plums over the summer.

Relic I think you should bring some of these Plum`s to Carlisle, I love em!! No maybe bad idea as they give me the trumps and anyone stuck behind me in the Sands would suffer!!

Just got home to a nice little note from my postman saying ' I signed for your tickets as I know that you were waiting for these'. Customer service or what!! I told him last time when he delivered the Newport tickets I was waiting for the Carlisle ones. He is always cheerful and friendly and a real asset to Royal Mail and someone who really does deserves his tip at Christmas. He is also a Manics fan too.

We are really looking forward to Carlisle as we are also having a few days up there too. We had originally planned to have a couple of days away going to both the Edinburgh and Carlisle dates but due to it being re arranged we had to come straight back from Edinburgh to be able to get some more time off work to be able to come. Leicester, Cambridge and Carlisle dates in 3 days that is definitely going to be a great holiday. How lucky are we.

Sadly the season is over, and they've all got a touch of frost and fallen off the tree. They were nice while they lasted though.

Yay, got my tickets today! Pretty quick considering I only ordered them on Sunday (that's how it should be though, with Ticketmaster charging what they do for delivery!).
