yep, Lara and i are off there this afternoon, hopefully i can pick up my one i ordered off the internet last night today.

Update, Midday, just spoke to one of the guys who deals with online orders etc, despite it says order confrimed, do not order online.

He also said that James has been in there everyday for the past couple of weeks bringing round these vinyls lol, so a good chance some of us could bump into him!

Martin from DADA just rang me back to say, sorry we have cancelled your order, we have sold out, but may be getting some more in at the end of the month! - 12:05pm.

The good news - I got my copy after all! Apparently, after I told my card company that I had authorised the order, they resubmitted it.
The bad news - the seal is broken.

That's not cool. I do think they'll hold value (if this becomes hot someday) even if unsealed. Of course I'm not opening mine any time soon. you should have had the choice to unseal it. Maybe they figure it's so rare that they can send it out in any condition.

I'd call them, once I ordered sealed The Great Western promo and the sticker was broken so I complained about it and returned it and they sent me good version back. you can always try.
thankfully the version I have, is fine.

My copy is sitting pretty next to my record player - unopened, untouched and unplayed.

Was this ever released digitally other than as 5 MP3 files? i.e. did the whole thing ever get released on anything other than vinyl?

There’s a full remixes LP on Spotify. I can’t remember if it’s different to this, as I never opened my copy and listened to it 😂

It's on Spotify, and it isn't available in the UK. Oddly thats the actual reason I was asking - I couldn't find it on there, then realised I only had 5 of the songs on my hard drive (free download from MSP back in the day), and the rest on vinyl. But I could've sworn they all came out digitally, or maybe they just released the most listenable ones.

There is indeed plus a separate one with just 5 tracks. My LP copy is still sealed. Never played all the tracks as couldn't give a shit about remixes normally. I do remember Nicky loving the horrors remix of doors closing slowly. They took a ticking clock from the original and the rest is just noise. It's shite

I kind of agree about the Doors Closing Slowly remix, but I think you should give Underworld’s William’s Last Words a play:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nIUDb6mzJqc
(That’s the remix album version, there’s also the longer Welsh Rock for Refugees one, which is different but shares some stuff). Isn’t it lovely? The Do You Love Us podcast used it in their JFPL episode recently to great effect I thought.

The idea of putting the singing through a vocoder was inspired, it’s like an extra layer of smoothness for Nicky’s vocals, which I think is particularly apt for that song. The Welsh Rock... album version abandons the ‘clean’ vocals altogether for purely the vocoded ones, but it just reminds me of Chockablock a bit too much at that point (middle-aged reference... who else remembers Chockablock?) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hDk4IhFS318

Andrew Weatherall’s Peeled Apples is great too IMHO, (RIP).

It's more bangers than not, that album.

Just goes to show that the JFPL era was so strong that even the remixes were great
