The song itself is great, although I think I slightly prefer the demo.

Is it a play on words?! I just thought it meant that Nicky isn't always right and sometimes misses his intended targets or generally gets things wrong!
Or that he picks on things he really needn't. Should aim his venom elsewhere etc etc!
Surely the title makes sense?

I don't have much problem with the title, although I guess it (the title) sounds a little Spinal Tap outside the context of the song. Big Bottom…

This is definitely one of my faves on the album.

Nicky needs to stop writing lyrics like "I am the Sturm und Drang, I am the Schadenfreude". It makes him sound like a sixth-former who's just discovered the existence of these for the first time and misguidely (arf arf) thinks this will make him appear intelligent.

He won't, though.

Fair enough.

My problem, personally, is that it often makes good songs into quite rubbish ones.

That's a shame for you. Certain lyrics just rub people up the wrong way I guess. I think the 'sounds like a sixth former' clichι is heavily over-used myself, but if you don't like a lyric sometimes you can't help it, for whatever reason.

Personally I love the lyrics of Misguided Missile.

Yeah I agree. Not a bad title at all. *case closed*

In the booklet it says 'Strum and Drang' instead of 'Sturm und Drang'. When will they learn to proofread their booklets? I remember being appalled at all the misspellings and rogue apostrophes in the Send Away The Tigers booklet, and that was seven years ago!

I like the song though.

He won't, though.
I've every mind to send him a misguided tweet.

Lyric booklets I've read are always littered with mistakes, not just the Manics'. Sometimes I think the people who write them are just people they sit in front of the album playing and ask to jot down what they hear. It does seem like it!
