Love Torn Us Under

Does anybody know if it was Nicky or Richey who wrote this? I heard somewhere (probably on this forum) that it may have been James who wrote it as a first attempt as a lyricist? Personally I think it sounds like a joint collaboration between Nicky and Richey...

idk. it doesn't sound particularly like a james lyric. also on wiki (i know it's not the best source) it says all lyrics are but nicky/richey unless stated otherwise which i would be inclined to agree with.

Sounds like a collaboration to me though the way it's arranged makes it sound more Richey if you know what I mean.

James had previous pre-Richey era aborted attempts at writing apparently.

Love Torn Us Under... Love Will Tear Us Apart...

Richey a big Ian Curtis fan
Nicky was getting married

I'd say it's a safe bet the thrust of the lyric was Richey's but there's only one gazelle of a man that would know for sure.

It's a Richey confession.
