BBK Live Festival Bilbao, Spain 10th July 2010

I didn't see a thread on this yet so...

http://www.eitb.com/news/detail/3527...to-take-shape/

Quote:
The organizers of Bilbao BBK Live have confirmed a number of the acts which will be performing at this year's edition of the Basque music festival: Slayer, Rise Against, Manic Street Preachers, Coheed and Cambria, Bullet for my Valentine, Jet, Capsula and Rise to Fall.

These eight bands join previously confirmed signings Rammstein and Pearl Jam for the festival, set to take place on the 8th, 9th and 10th July.

Australian band Jet (known for such well-known hits as "Are You Gonna Be My Girl?" and "Rollover DJ") are currently promoting their latest album Shaka Rock, while Rise Against's stop off in the Basque Country forms part of their European summer festivals tour. Argentine-Bilbao band Capsula play at the SXSW festival in Austin Texas at the beginning of March prior to their performance at BBK Live 2010, according to the Festival organizers.

Welsh band Manic Street Preachers have become famous for the marked political nature of their music career. Confessed socialists, in 2001 they became the first successful western group to perform in Cuba, where they met with leader Fidel Castro. Their latest record, Journal for Plague Lovers came out in May 2009. Band Rise to Fall, meanwhile, were winners in the category of heavy metal music plus voted best band in the Basque Country at the last Pop-Rock Villa competition in Bilbao.
Vouchers for the Bilbao BBK Live 2010 festival are on sale at a price of 110 euros (plus distribution costs). Single day tickets for the 8th and 9th July can be bought for 50 euros (plus distribution costs).

The following is the planned festival schedule:
Thursday 8th July
RAMMSTEIN
SLAYER
RAGE AGAINST
COHEED AND CAMBRIA
BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE
RISE TO FALL
Plus further bands to be confirmed

Friday 9th July

Plus further bands to be confirmed

If anyone has a direct ticket link, I'd appreciate it. Cheers.

Now I've created a sub-forum on the basis of two gigs, they will probably not do any more, but somehow I think they will .

Great! I'm SO going there.
I just hope they'll sell tickets for Saturday only. I don't see them on the BBK website. Nevermind, we'll see that later.
Thanks for the good news guys!

They said something about foreign festivals when they were in the US, so I'd bet good money on a few more this summer.

Haha, Jet again! Un-fond memories of IOW 2004 start to re-appear (well Jet's set that is, other than that i had an excellent time!). Hilariously, i saw them completely hammered on the ferry after

Ok, now I'm tempted by this. But it's the same time as T in the Park, and I'm waiting to see if another favourite band gets announced for there

Ooh this is a good sign indeed for more European festivals this summer. I hope so. Manics Euro-festival trips are so much fun.
