Hardly a 'Remix'
But it was still released as a remix, so I would expect the same sort of thing again.

Being played on 6music right now. Like a New Young Pony club song with James playing his version of "Been A Son" over it.

Not bad, I quite like it.

is the request to get it as mp3 very inappropriate?

I'm interested to check this out once I get home but I find it a little worrying that the Manics are giving credence to such a vacous and insipid band.

They like them and have had support by them.

NYPC are brilliant, the new single is good and so was the give away track from the new album, it's nice to see that the Manics are partnered with some bands for this kind of thing. Plus the band are quite attractive people

*bump*

Just a reminder for anyone who was interested in this, the album is out today, with the Manics' remix available as an exclusive album track on iTunes (£7.99).

It is quite good. I love James's guitar playing on this. He completely changed the song from being a shit indie synth track to something bombastic and almost inspired. He should start getting in the producer chair again.

...There are of course remixes already circling the musical seas and while most are available freely for download you should consider purchasing the iTunes version of the album for the wonderfully guitar-based “South Wales Swamp Mix” of ‘Chaos’ brought to us by the Manic Street Preachers. ...

Thought I'd mention that James gets an album credit in the thank yous on their new album.
