T in the Park Appearances
I'm hoping you all have better memories than i do (its my age!)
MSP have played T in the Park four times is that right? 1994, 1996, 1999 and 2009? I saw them play in 1994 and 1999. someone i know likes to go on (and on and on) about seeing them play T and then wreck the stage afterwards, though he "can't remember which year it was?" I do remember in '99 Nicky smashing his bass at the end, took him a good number of attempts too. I think Sean maybe have kicked over some of his drumkit? But it was hardly "stage wrecking". Was it a year i missed? or did it not actually happen? There's other things this person says which makes me disbelieve him. Its not really important i guess but he's such a know all i'd like to correct him! thanks for everyone's help - if you can!

It was '99 they got banned for breaking some lights or something I believe? Well Nicky broke some lights anyway! As well as swearing and all that jazz!

Nicky smashed some lights and called Billy Bragg a big nosed twat.
It's up there with one of the best gigs I've ever seen; they were so workmanlike at Glastonbury 99 it hurt. They responded with this - it was a fucking blast.

it was a great gig for them - and the audience, i remember it was sunny, somehow i got right to the front - on the barrier? I just dont think it was quite "stage wrecking"? Nicky was especially mouthy, probably have it on dvd somewhere? I think it's time for a MSP challenge!
