Yeah, got caught up in a moment of getting pointlessly irritated myself there to be honest. Bad day, sorry.

Williams Last Words was a suicide note in so much as you could also construct one from select sentences in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.

Great song though. Nothing to be angry about, darlings...

it annoyed me mainly because I love the prose piece, and the song just bears no resemblance to it.

the cynical side of me cocks an eyebrow at Nicky's edit job... done for maximum emotional impact/review inches? the more forgiving side of me wants to think that he just took from it the lines that would mean a peaceful goodbye from Richey.

but I can't help but wonder.

'Just one bread just one milk one food for all.'
vs.
'One bread one milk one food that's all'

I was blown away with this. With only one tiny word
Nicky managed to change everything.
+
On topic, Nicky was consistent through career,
but sometimes maybe inconsistent line to line.

It was always hard task for Nicky to deliver,
bar was raised so high.

I think "Faster" is probably his best lyric. I also love "Die in the Summertime" and "4st 7lbs", wasn't the latter semi autobiographical?

Those weren't written by Nicky...

I believe its James who makes these types of edits. The do the same with every song whether Nicky or Richey wrote it (more so Richey); it's part of the editing process.

Or what about the songs Nicky writes the music for? I don't think we can point the finger at any specific individual. But WLW is their second to worst song of all time which very nearly ruins a very good album.
