98% I never skip songs from any Manics album, and 95% from any band, I'm just sad and old fashioned like that. Virtually all the skipping occurs in SATT.

I tend to skip the first half of Truth (the opening drums of Stole the Sun make me cringe)

Did Nicky write the music for this one ? He was on that documentary playing it on the guitar in what looked like a 'I'm demoing this song' situation.

The music does have a 'Nicky' feel to it!

I really love Nicky's version - that alone made the deluxe version worth it!

if he did, and with William's Last Words too and off the back of his contribution to YLAINE, Nicky is increasingly looking like a pretty decent composer in his own right (albeit one who obviously needs the guidance and performance of his bandmates). i still think his own lyrics are arse but the Manics are in a pretty stong position going forward if he carries on developing this musical side to his creativity, not many bands get a bonus composer like this so long into their career. the ability to call on Nicky when JDB runs out of awesome might explain why JFPL is so much better than the rest of their noughties output (to my ears at least).

Slightly off-topic but i've always thought if GT was a 10-12 track album it would be one of the greatest debut albums of all time. It's too long at 18 tracks though. Very few - if any - bands could release a debut album with 18 strong tracks on it.

Oh my Jesus Christ. Nicky 'demoing' this on his little video camera is the funniest thing ever. He even has the TV on in the backgrounf, then he STARES into the camera.

Creepiest thing ever?

My mum saw that bit of the documentary and was like "you travel around the country and actually to see HIM? He looks a bit creepy!"
