If - and it's a big if - it does happen, it will need two things.

The original, Chillisesque, demo of Roses in the Hospital.

A video for Patrick Bateman with clips from American Psycho intertwined with the rest of the footage, which will include James doing the first solo on the Empire State Building and the second one on the top of the Statue of Liberty.

That is all.

the singles on gats - speaking of ltd and fdtw are two of the weaker tracks on the album (lbal and rith are great). Yourself is a great riff, sleepflower a great tune, nostalgic pushead is also ace and sot is also a good tune

DVD with TV footage too and i'd buy it. The album needs remastering , it's not enough just having the singles on NT

Again, it would definitely benefit from a thorough remaster. Who knows, they may even unearth some songs in the mire of the second half...

The manics hate it unfortunately and most fans call it a "polished turd" but I would say the same about SATT.

an anniversary edition would be amazing. I love GATS, sleepflower is one of the best album openers ever. I actually love all the songs on this album and went through a phase of being obsessed with the song yourself for a while! I never really understand why people dislike it. x

GATS was my first ever MSP album and I love it to bits. Nice to see some more appreciation for it on here.

Most of the Manics fans represented on FD seem to be the sort of people more likely to have their twin favourite albums as being TIMTTMY and Deacon Blue's greatest hits, so is nice to see some rare alternatives.

45 posts and no-one has mentioned Hibernation? I always liked that song.

Anyway, a GATS anniversary edition is very unlikely I think, but you never know.

I remain convinced that one day we shall have a big box set of the equivalent for every album anyway, they know there is money lying on the table for such things, they can just wait until want to collect it.
