As a random anecdotal aside, I still think the XFM live version of Patsy when it was first premiered is the best version because of the "ONE TWO THREE FOUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUURRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR" launching into the solo instead of some crammed-in out-of-synch voice clip.

The tour was fantastic. Setlists were much better/more varied and they played more of the album (nearly all of it unless im mistaken). Prefer it much more than PFAYM (album and tour)

Pretty sure they played it all. I kind of wish they had that confidence in PFAYM, I think I prefer it.

One of my least favourite Manics albums, although I still don't think it's a bad album...it just isn't as good as most of the others! I liked it at first listen but it began to grate on me after a while. It does feel a bit forced in parts, and some of the lyrics are really clunky. I don't go back to listen to it that often.

Highlights: Send Away the Tigers, YLAINE, Indian Summer, Second Great Depression, Autumnsong

Worst Songs: Underdogs, Rendition, Imperial Bodybags. I can live with the lyrics on Autumnsong & I'm Just a Patsy because they're set to decent music, but for the three aforementioned songs the music feels quite forced and a bit awkward.

Think I'm in the minority of loving it! Love about 3/4 of it,the rest is tolerable. Might be because YLAINE was my first Manics song. It's just so full of energy I can't help but get excited listening to it

Love it! Good, solid, anthemic rock album.

One of my least fave albums although Indian Summer is one of my fave ever Manic tracks, also like Second Great Depression and Imperial BodyBags. It contains my two least favourite singles ever though, the dreadful Autumn Song and YLAINE

YLAINE is what got me into the Manics - so I can't really say anything bad about it. Also it was the first song I learnt on the guitar all the way through!

Rendition should have been a single and the second single after YLAINE.

The only period since i have been into them, that i didn't go to one of their own gigs. I saw them at a festival instead of going to Dublin for the gig. I was so disgusted with them for writing Your Love Alone, it just put me off that entire period. I turned my back to the band at the electric picnic when they played it.
I actually quite like the album. It has some great songs, but the title track is still my favourite.

The album that made me a fan.

Heard YLAINE and I was hooked. I feel bad now though cause after going through their back catalogue it's very low down my list in how I rate their albums. I still love it though.

And I feel like it's the weaker sibling of PFAYM. I love SATT, but Postcards is the better album, it just didn't have a great single in order to appeal to the public like YLAINE. Postcards is definitely stronger I think

The album that reminded me I love them, even though I don't really like it now. The bsides are ace and The Second Great Depression is one of my favourite of their songs.
