Okay, my contribution to the 5 worst Manics singles is as follows:

1. This Is The Day - awful, pathetic song...
2. Autumnsong - every time I hear it live, I have to shout out "For fuck's sake........"
3. La Tristesse Durera - Very controversial choice, studio version is massively average but I tend to ruin it for those around me when they play it live - just ask Radiomanic!
4. Some Kind Of Nothingness - Shit choice of a single, stinks of the typical recent decision making by the band (and their management).
5. She Is Suffering - Doesn't really work for me as a single. Good in the context of THB but a crap single.

I was going to go with my heart and just put the songs I hate hearing live but that would have alienated the whole of FD (not that I've done that before of course........)

That's my 6th choice for 'worst' single.

Best singles

1. If You Tolerate This. (Their best lyric, people comment on Richey's words but Nicky gets it spot on) catchy, meaningful, deserving number one
2. Faster
3. You Love Us
4. Motorcycle Emptiness
5. A design for life, gotta be, surely

Anyone who lists Grace Of God, Nixon, PFAYM or Indian Summer as among their worst singles doesn't deserve ears.

Go on then, I’ll do a ‘best’ list too... Get some positivity on.

1. If You Tolerate This... – It just is their best single.
2. A Design For Life – Made me fall in love with the band, still holds a special place.
3. Faster – A Richey Masterpiece.
4. Mowtown Junk – A great early single, great energy.
5. Roses In The Hospital – I just love it.

TOP 5 WORST MANICS SINGLES

1. The Love Of Richard Nixon
2. This Is The Day
3. (It's Not War) Just The End Of Love
4. So Why So Sad
5. Let Robeson Sing

These would also fit quite nicely into my "Top 20 Shittiest Manics Songs" list.

See, I can get behind the idea of an album without singles. But an album containing 1985, SSI etc with TROLOLOLOLRON and Empty Souls as the only singles? 4SHAME.
