The blackwood gig was just put your name in a hat kinda thing , no postcodes , i should have had a ticket for that , i would have been one of first to register but i didnt !!!! Seemed it was just random names picked out , loads of people from blackwood who dont even like the manics just getting something for nothing !!from what i saw of the gig it looked like there was no atmosphere ther at all because there was hardly any real fans there !! And yes i am still very bitter !!

Exactly this. Most people there were given them as hangers-on, or other people came because like you say they lived in the area and won a competition. A middle aged lady gave me a very snotty look when, at the front of the stage, I was shoved into her slightly.

It'd be nice if they did a small European jaunt for this as well in the New Year.

Now that they are committed to it and it sold out pretty quick they may well add a few more dates 😄

Same here.

The ticket allocation for that was supposed to be weighted more in favour of local people, but yeah, a lot of people applying for that just because it was free shit. And boy you could tell. I'm not one of these people who thinks everyone should be jumping up and down like a fool at gigs to have a good time, but it didn't feel like a crowd of mostly fans.

Hell, I'm still bitter I missed out on seeing JDB doing his solo thing at Newbridge Memo years ago. RIGHT ON MY FUCKING DOORSTEP, and it was sold out before I even knew it was happening.

I'm committed to going to Manchester, but I won't rule out seeing them again in Cardiff, or Newport if they do bring the THB20 tour home. I hope so, might help weed out the kind of people that shout out for "You Stole the Sun From My Heart" (they exist, believe it or not).

Seeing the demand has to get the band looking at doing more, knowing people want to see it. Whether that means additional nights at the existing venues or more venues being added.

If they do a Welsh date in the new year that's great, but it's unlikely they'll do any more THB sets. If they do, having booked for London I'll be somewhere between bemused and annoyed! Newport Centre seems the most likely venue in South Wales these days if they do book a gig.
