Just catching up on some of the interviews from the last couple of weeks and they’re really upbeat.

Pretty much from every album release from TIMT onwards (well, even GT really) they’ve come out saying it could be their last etc but far from it this time. Maybe the last year has made them reflect as to what a bloody good thing they have going on.

I distinctly remember around know your enemy james saying (paraphrasing) that there was less time ahead of them as a band than behind which now sounds quaint.

Yes, I remember he said that in the Our Manics in Havana documentary. I'd gone from being a kind of fan of the band for four years, before becoming a serious fan 6 months before that documentary was aired, and then he says that!

I was only thinking about how it's 20 years since he said that earlier today
