Question

See you all there, getting very excited now that work is done and I've packed for Liverpool and Brum.

Does anybody know if there are any decent bars nearby that might spin a few MSP tunes?

Have a blast everyone. Back in MSP retirement now, but I hope ya'll get Sepia or something equally exciting. With recent events I wondered if they might do SYMM? Either way I'm sure it will be a treat.

It's been a long while since I was in Liverpool on a night out, but the arena is a fair distance from the town centre (15 mins ish), so you'd have to have some time to amble across the the gig itself.

Hello from the middle of the barrier! Very organised getting in, I love venues that do bag searches before the doors open. Hope anyone else here has a great time

Genuinely wish I was there. Opening nights are always the best with the extra nerves from band and fans.

Playing Wire's "Rarities" Bingo, I'm going to say two or three out of Found That Soul, Mr Carbohydrate, Prologue, LBN.

Enjoy!

Some people waved at me in the crowd. It's possible they were waving at someone behind me. But I waved back.
The Editors were quite good. And I enjoyed the cut price Pink Floyd of them playing in front of three screens!
And James fucked up one of the lyrics in Removables!
The bit leading up to waiting for voices to tell me.
Really enjoyed it! The EMG set really flew by, and I was amazed at how quick the second set went.

What's the moshpit level at these gigs now? Have we reached the creaky boned moment of Mosh Zero?

I don't know what this UK tour is like. At Hamburg, last month: Mosh -50. There was some polite shuffling and and such during YSTS. While UK crowds tend to be livelier, I swear I have never seen anyone mosh at a Manics gig in recent years - or maybe where I come from we mosh differently? I saw more moshing at Sophia last Monday, in fact, and Robin Propper-Shepard attracts a proper bunch of middle-aged miserable misfits (such as my good self).

Yeah there was a small but decent pit for The Holy Bible part of the show last year. I know that obviously by now that shit would be fairly chilled. Europe is a bit odd I find. Crowds are kinda "polite" as they say. Just seen a small clip of Kevin Carter, and while the crowd is into it I detect a 0 mosh zone.

There's a couple of my mates who prefer it like that to be fair!

Jumping for a couple of songs, no moshing i'd guess.
