I remember a big crackdown on the KYE leaks, and getting a Sony-led ban from Napster / Soulseek / KaZaa at the time for downloading the 4-5 tracks that leaked.

Few years later I remember a mate grabbing Lifeblood online a good month or two before release, and there being minimal fuss about that by then.

Yeah the KYE cockup is the one that came to mind. From memory Sony uploaded clips of SWSS and FTS to the website when promoting the singles and a clever person realised that the place they linked to was public so by changing the link address they could access the other album tracks too. Not all tracknames were known at the time so it was only a few of the tracks that leaked in that way.

Ironically I'm sure it only helped sales (like KidA on Napster) but this was the time of rights restricted CDs etc. so it was a big fuss and the largest one I remember.

It says a couple of songs but actually only one was played in that clip. I'm wondering if by any chance we got ourselves a new one!? (crossing fingers)

Great playing. Glad to see I was right that it was the Jazzmaster. Pure guitar sex.

Can't wait to see the full show on Thursday!

James was a good sport getting dunked into the water like that haha. I wish they would upload a HD version of the video.
That's no way to tell a lie video came up on the youtube feed for me recently and it's hilarious. What's not to like watching james do his de niro acting for the mob boss and squirming on the end of a rope. I'd forgotten that the extras mime the backing vocals at one point. The nixon video was also quite a surprise but i'd like to see them make more odd videos.

When they make great videos they’re great... then every so often they do a “standing around with their hands in their pockets” one

Interesting scene... presumably this is the MSP studio, with a Dyson permanently screwed to the wall of the lounge area.

I'm kinda stunned to see james doing a video conference. Oh 2020, what delights you give us...
There's no chance he set that up himself.
We get to see his swanky man cave though but towards the end some random dude seemingly walks out from nowhere.

Enjoyed it though, the conversation about the intersection of politics, wales and chile was interesting. James getting justifiably angry over the state of politics now and particularly how wales is getting shafted yet again by this tory gov.

Nice little electric version of plantation there.
