Also the instrumental versions of the singles from promotional CDs/downloads. But the set never claimed to be comprehensive. There were also some live tracks on the Japan 4real 2CD

Yeah, back up to No.21 is nice to see. Here's some more details for people who like numbers and stats like me
No.2 in 2007, Manic Street Preachers' eighth album, Send Away The Tigers, re-enters at No.21 (3,353 sales) following the release of a remastered and expanded collectors' edition, which helps to raise its cumulative sales to 158,063. Also, the vinyl managed to chart at No.4 in the vinyl album chart.

Juat finished watching the dvd. The glasto set is pretty decent. Nice version of ocean spray.

Going thorough the B-sides disc - some great songs, familiar with most of them, except a couple. But goddamn, the mastering is shit! Just so artificially loud, brittle and harsh - it's difficult to listen to.

I think it sounds clear and fine.

Yeah, my thoughts exactly. I'm not buying this one, the original was loud as well, but this one is pumped up to the max. This is the reason why I replaced my 10th HB edition with the original cd. I don't care if these remasters sound "clear" or whatever, they sound overall like SHIT.

That's not at all what I'm talking about.
There's little to no dynamic range and it's tough to sit through. Read about what I mean here, and while they're calling it "loudness", it's not about them being too loud (I like it loud), but getting distorted and breaking up when turned up loud. Of course it also depends on what you're listening on. |

Don't turn it up loud then

Stupid. It's clear to see you have no idea what we are talking about. When you have badly mastered audio (loud), it's loud at all volumes. When you turn it up, it's clipping.
