i'm 5'4 and i can just about put my arms on the top of the barrier,
if you're right next to barrier there is a step that will lift you up a wee bit.

god that sounds plain dangerous for a standing gig. Why is it so high? Do people jump over barriers in Glasgow or something??

years ago they had a pretty pathetic barrier that wasn't supportive at all
and then they replaced it with this one with huge pillars attached to the barrier and the stage.

i remember Alex Kapranos of Franz Ferdinand nearly breaking his back on this barrier when he tried to climb into the crowd,it's pretty bad especially if you're small.

If it's like previous gigs, I'd reckon they'll be on stage around 9-9:15pm.

This is the main reason why I decided not to go to this gig. Last September, I came out with a bruised chin because being 5'1" my chin was on the barrier, and the Glasgow crowd really get stuck in to their gigs so prepare for a bit of a bashing as they say if you do decide to give it a go

Stay safe..... if you find it hard during the gig, then get out quickly!
