Mitch Ikeda exhibition

Just met the man himself, at his exhibition in Tokyo.

It's called "Rocks" and there's a nice big Manics wall in there. Some of the photos that were in the Forever Delayed book. There are the four "mugshot" photos, where they're each holding their names, blown up nice and large.

Interesting seeing who else he's worked with - Oasis, Rancid, Kurt Cobain, Brett Anderson, etc etc

And he was there, manning the entry/exit desk, having a chat with whoever passed. He explained that his first exhibition had focused on the early 90s, mostly using film shots (rather than digital). Said he wanted to do "rocks 1, 2, 3" etc, using later 90s photos, and that he had a garage full of negatives.

Really nice bloke. Told me he'd been to Yorkshire before with the Manics... excellent. Haha.

Sounds great, he must have a heck of a lot of good stories to tell too.

Yeah, it was actually really good. It was only on for a week or so, and the gallery was pretty small, but the photos that were there were superb.
