Other than the word 'No' there's nothing to compare them. NSAF was always one of my favourite Manics songs but I think No Surprises just about wins through its sheer beauty and subtlety.

Voted for 'No Surprises' to keep up the Radiohead support. NSAF is a great jumpy song and I loves it but Radiohead get enough flak.

'No Surprises' does have a brilliantly subtle video.

Ya think? It's a Manics board!

Personally, this thread is providing me with some great laughs. I suspected there would be massive Radiohead bashing and so far, I haven't been disappointed. It's a bit predictable.

I challenge anyone to see them live and then say they hate them.

Me other half did. She gave them an hour and all, but doesn't like them still. She wandered off to watch Lostprophets instead.

Yeah, it was hearing RH live on Steve Lamacq's show when they headlined Reading one year that got me more into them than I had been.

That would have been some time in the 90s (can't be arsed to look it up) meant to be their best ever performance.

Think it was in the 00's. 2003? Might have been Glasto actually!

2003 Saturday Night at Glasto, you are correct. They've only played Reading once and that was this year.

Yeah, I researched

Hearing that performance on the radio certainly made me want to get some Radiohead records!

Glad to hear it, I certainly got massively into them after seeing them at Reading, It was the most blissful amazing sensory experience of my life (save meeting Nicky for the first time).

I promised my mate after JDB's solo gig that we'd go and see RH next time they played near us. Hasn't happened yet! Whoops!
