One older, skin-headed fool pushed to the front for 'Tolerate' and seemed to be harrassing the women to the right of Relic to let him on the barrier or something, but they were having none of it - good show girls!
I was looking out for a Lifeblood tee shirt, but couldn't spot you.

I did wonder what was going on to the right of me. Immediately to my right the women were hardened giggers from Sunderland, although it was their first Manics gig. They were neice and aunt, the aunt was in her late fifties, and wasn't taking any shit from anyone I can imagine that she wouldn't have had any trouble sorting out barrier crashers, she was eight stone nothing of concentrated feistiness. They were really good company, and had some great tales to tell.

I'm sure you aren't, but I'm sorry I did. I feel really guilty because I know we've met before but I didn't recognise you.

Anyway, review from the local paper. I wonder if Nicky knows that he's acknowled(g)ing French activism?

The beautiful ones... If anyone fancies putting usernames to this, it would be really nice - I spotted a good number of you down the front I think, but being such a newbie, had no idea who was from here and who was who!

Being from Cumbria this was both my first Manics gig and my first major gig

I stood right next to the left speaker with a wooly hat yet didn't experience any ringing in my ears at all after the gig, which was wonderful considering my hypersensitive ears >_>

I don't understand British Sea Power at all, it's a nice thing that a band from Carlisle has made it semi-famous in the indie circuit, but I just can't get into their music... it's just completely forgettable and I bitched about them with a Manic fan from Newcastle >:]

I have no idea why people are being catty about the setlist and the atmosphere :/ yes they played most of their popular songs, but you have to realise that there are plenty of MSP virgins who want to hear a selection box of hits and favourites (like No Surface... )

So in all I enjoyed it very much, when practically no bands come to Carlisle it's not as if many people here have THAT much experience in raving about... (besides, Manics fans are meant to sit in the corner and be antisocial )

They played to the crowd that they were from Carlisle for a cheap cheer, if that isn't the case then they really are trying too hard ;D

I claim that odd-looking head behind the girls on the left. Tis mine.

Don't be silly You must've met dozens, nay hundreds, of fans by now. We met once, briefly, in the queue for a SATT winter date (and I can't even remember if it was Aberdeen or Carlisle), so I don't think its the worst crime in the world to not remember me
