Has personal meaning for me.

Agreed with this statement Love FPTL, very meh towards Masses.

And I think it was on the JFPL retrospective thread, somebody described FPTL as sub Feeder. (The post inspired this whole thread actually!)

I love all 4 of those songs - and I thought Kevin Carter would be an untouchable??? Though possibly over played I guess.

not really - if that line wasn't in it i would comfortable playing it to a good deal more people.

outside of that line, some of Richey's best ever imagery lurks in the song. sure, a lot of it is "influenced" by the novel, but by my word what an interpretation!

I like PB for 'He's a real cool guy and he's a hero of mine!'

my top line would be "my personality is held together with sellotape", but if memory serves correct that's cribbed directly from the novel.

that bit about the supermarket queue is quality, too.

what a pity Richey couldn't slide in a reference to Mr Bateman's top film, Body Double, as it is a most excellent movie.

Shame Whitney wasn't in there too.

a sample of "I wanna dance with somebody" around the gentlemen's excuse me of a deity line would have led to all sorts of fascinating lawsuits and royalty issues.

One of my faves too.

The most hated song that I love would probably be Fragments.

SYMM, gets slated often but is musically one of their strongest songs.

I like it too. I think it probably gets slagged off a bit because it doesn't go much anywhere lyrically but I like it's simplicity, the instrumentation creates a beautiful atmosphere too that's not found in many other Manics songs I can think of.
