I've been wanting a Manics tattoo since I was 17, and having been legally allowed to get one for over a year, I am finally gonna get one soon, definitely soon.
Every time I've thought about lots of different things, but always come back to 'Stay Beautiful' as it was one of the songs that really hit home when I was much younger, and it's a bit more positive than some of the other options.
I'll probably get it on my right arm. I just need some kind of design or font for it. I'm so bad at this lol.

I've seen a couple of the roses with 'Generation Terrorist' on and I've always wondered how they have the guts to go around with 'terrorist' branded on their arm. Daft point I know, but I'd be bricking it in airport security or wherever!

I actually did get a tattoo 3 years ago. I got "The Everlasting" on my forearm. It's a bit embarrassing because now every person I meet asks me about it and I tend to lie, "It's for my dead mother" lol.

I've been thinking of a Manics tattoo for years, and I always ended up with "with grace we will suffer - with grace we shall recover", because that's a motto I'd want to live by, but I just can't decide for the right place and the right font.
Or maybe I just don't have the guts, considering my mother would kill me if I came back home with a tat. (yeah I'm 24 and my Mum's judgement still scares me)

The reason for this song, well it may be a pointless one

My mum nearly cried when she saw my tongue piercing- I was too scared to tell her. I'm 26.

I might be a bit cliche but it'd probably be "Survival's natural as sorrow"

I love it. It's a sentiment I agree with anyway and of everything I've done in my life I think, without being melodramatic, that discovering the Manics altered it the most radically. I've never seen any of James' tattoos replicated by a fan, does anyone else have it? Or the dolphin?
I've got James' heart tattoo to the left of my stomach, but I just had 'Stay Beautiful' written inside the scroll instead of 'Anxiety is Freedom'. I had it done about 10 years ago (by a slightly crappy tattooist, it has to be said) and its looking quite shit now so I've got an appointment to have it re-worked (by a decent artist who has done my 4 subsequent tatts - no Manics ones though!) in 2 weeks time. Yay!
