For me it's (I Miss The) Tokyo Skyline so far, a fragile masterpiece that sounds like any one of about 12 different elements missing or being changed would have thrown it off balance and spoiled it a bit.

I absolutely love '4 Lonely Roads'. Such a pretty tune and lovely lyrics.
After my only reservations about the title track being that it's non JDB sung, it surprises me a bit that 4LR is my favourite track on the new album. My Mrs thinks that '3 Ways To See Despair' sounds a bit like Pink Floyd - she's a big fan of theirs - but I've never really listened to much P.F, too 'stoner' music for my tastes, so dunno if any of you lot with a bit more knowledge of them think she's in the right ball-park? Great song that one too and probably would be my second favourite so far. I think it's genius that the album finishes with 30 Year War. After all the despair and hopelessness, the band show that there's still a little bit of fight left and fire in their bellies. Bodes very well for the next album. After being hugely underwhelmed by this album on my first few listens on Saturday, I've got to be honest, its subtle charms and beauties are really starting to sink in now and there's a lot to like here. Any comparisons with TIMTTMY are largely nonsense and the only song on that album that comes truly close to achieving the stunningly fragile beautiful melancholia of most of this record is 'Black Dog On My Shoulder'.
