I've not read the whole thread ... first chance to get online since the gig ... but it was wonderful, even from my seat way up high, even thought I felt like crap all day (women's stuff, sorry.)

I cried, a lot. I was very overemotional. I cried at James's sailor suit, I cried at most of the songs, I burst into tears during Slash n Burn because it was the first Manics song I ever heard and I knew even then they were something special. I cried at all the videos where they looked so young. I cried at the SIS video because it wasn't the old one and I missed Sean's 'acting'.

The guests were amazing, they were so well received, I was proud of the fans, and proud of the Manics.

There By The Grace Of God was the biggest surprise. I've always thought it was a bit of a dull song with a great video, but live ... well, it was a monster, and I loved every second of it.

I'm hoping that dusting off some of the less commonly played singles for this gig means that we'll hear them more often in subsequent setlists.

I'm going to do a bit of a longer review tomorrow, if I have time.

Well done lads, you played an absolute blinder.

Did anyone notice at some point... Maybe in YLU, when Nicky and James were playing off each other, James attempted a parody of Nickys bj attempt from the This is the Day video?! I swear it happened

Patrick Jones shouldn't be allowed near a camera.

Can't be bothered to find the post to quote but Starryknight is a legend, great person to jump up and down with. Also Relic's FD identifying skills are nothing short of phenomenal, she must memorise faces.

Just got home, not going to try and tackle this thread tonight but that was an amazing gig! We got into the arena at 7.25 and still managed to get a great view only a few rows back extreme Nick-side (all the better to see his poor broken face from, from around Masses onwards), yet again close to (but considerably in front of) Simon Price!

I was massively sleep-deprived and feeling terrible but I somehow forgot about that for the duration of the whole show - such consummate entertainers (esp. top-form James)! So, in combo with seeing The Horrors (onstage and off) at Highbury Garage for a fiver the night before, a worthwhile trip!

Dude, you're not the first to mention that, it seems to have been everyone's highlight, personally it would ruin a gig for me.

I'm not sure why but I'd always thought Simon Price was gay? Maybe something I read somewhere, hmm, not sure
