How are they full of themselves, exactly? Apart from this 'art-school way', of course. Is it the way they lose confidence in themselves all the time? Or is it the way they tend to avoid the bullshit most bands of their size fall prey to?

Overhyped is internet-speak for "Other people like them but I don't".

Both are great songs but No Surprises is just that much better.

Or to clarify No Surface All Feeling is a 7/10 and No Surprises is a 9/10.

Wouldn't worry about this mate, when people run out of proper arguments they start pulling ones out of their arse.

It's obvious that Radiohead are better than the Manics in so many ways so it can be hard for the fans to accept it when they've devoted so much time to the band.

Just nod and smile.

Well, that's pretty accurate Other people do like Radiohead, and I don't.

I meant overhyped in that I hear about them a lot, in magazines, on the internet, etc...which made me get kind of sick of them. I used to like them, decided they weren't for me, and keep reading and hearing about them all the time, hence overhyped.

I actually used to listen to Radiohead quite a bit around the Kid A - Amnesiac period, but I just couldn't find depth/meaning in them the way I could in other bands, and some of their music strikes me as trying really hard to be weird and different just for the sake of being weird and different (for example, the song that Thom Yorke sung backwards - Like Spinning Plates, I think?). I haven't listened to them in the past 5ish years, though, so I can't critique anything new they have released.

:O No way, you probably heard it without being aware. I'd suggest listening to it anyway, it's a moving song.
Nevertheless, I voted for NSLF. Feel the guilt of a sinner, feel the cold of a winter. It breaks my heart every time!

Oh I know it now once I heard it, I could never listen to anything by Radiohead because of Tom Yorke's awful voice so NSLF would still win for me.

"No Surprises" is boring as hell, like 80% of Radiohead songs. And No Surface is a masterpiece.
