Manics walk on songs.

Trying to remember which Joy division song Manics have walked on too, and it's got me thinking, what was the walk on song for each tour since say '96? I know the below.

96/97 stealth sonic design
2011/2012/2014? a new career in new town
2013 manorbier
Winter tigers 2007 vortices
Postcards Silver
Chemical brothers faster holy bible tour
Any more?

The opening for the National Treasures show was Speed Of Life by David Bowie.

The same for the FD tour.

The Clashs cover of Time Is Tight was used on I think the first SATT tour.

Think the V99/Millenium shows was Incubation by Joy Division. Long in the memory now though those gigs!

Seem to remember AC/DC at KYE shows but that is extremely hazy also. Would need a hand remembering that!

Both of those sets of gigs had walk OFF songs; V99 being the Massive Attack Tolerate remix, and the KYE shows was the "happy black days" segment.....

I think a RITH remix was used in 1993, Faster remix in 94 and Howl in 92.

They were coming out to the 'Peeled Apples' (Andrew Weatherall) remix for (certainly) the US '09 tour .. I can't remember if they used that for the JFPL complete shows in 09 (the UK ones).

Then of course the 'Faster' remix for both the first leg in the UK, and the recent US, THB20 tour

Interesting to see the widespread use of remixes for walk-on songs. I've often wondered what the band themselves actually think of some of the remixes - time for a new thread on that, possibly.
