I don't think it's a song about the band at all.
Well, yes, I suppose you could make that interpretation work as much as the one about it being them crying over lots of people thinking This Is My Truth was a bit poncy.

Now make Autumnsong not shit.

No, but it is right up there. It's their best number 1 and i will always remember the first time i heard it. It was nice feeling to have the manics back on form and quite angry again after the dull Truth period.

It rocks. That's for sure. The best performance and one I still never tire of is the millenium gig performance, that rocks. And then you find hilarious cringe worthy stuff like this, don't laugh too much (although I'm laughing as I type this cos I'm listening to it play hahaha): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vJyJGcI1n9g

Such a funny performance. I thought they were taking the piss when I first heard that rendition

Great song though, reminds me of their really early stuff! Full of anger and energy.

wouldn't rate it as a favourite overall, but it does have one of my favourite JDB solos - nothing fast or picky, just nice, clean, simple, effective.

It's really good - top 5 singles I'd say - but not their absolute best song.

It's not their best song, but when it knocked Westlife off number one to become the first British number one single of the Millennium, that might well be my favourite pop moment of all time.

Not their best song. But it's the kind of song they need right now.
