Vision Blurred ROCKS!

I love this song so much, when I listen to Manics stuff (more or less every day) if I want to hear something proper rocking and hard I put this on. It's such a heavy rock song for them, especially compared to stuff they've done recently in years. It should have been a song on an album instead of just a random download only song that about a handful of people will have bothered with, I really do think it's brilliant. I know the lyrics were written by the Horrors but even so, it's still a Manics song, and I love it to pieces. Anyone agree?

Just listened to it for the first time after seeing your post...

Love it! I'm always saying they should do something heavier. If they come back after their break with an album sounding similar to this, I'll be a very happy Manics fan

The Horrors wrote the music too but just never ended up releasing the song anywhere, haha. There's a really short clip of it on youtube but that's it.

It is a great song though! I'd be excited to hear more stuff like that from the Manics at some point.

Is this a b-side on the CD single that I can't get hold of?

And does James sing it? If not, I'm not too upset that I haven't heard it yet!

For me it Is my favourite song of the Journal era - not the best, but my favourite. It truly rocks.

Yes, it's got a great vocal from James. No drones from Wire get near it.

Agreed, another band's reject is the best thing they've put out over recent years. Sad but true. JDB is on top form on it, though. It's a pity he can't get himself passionate enough about what Nicky gives him (or Matt Johnson).

It is very very good but I can't get that excited about it with it being a cover.

10 posts in and nobody thinks to get this thread into the triple figures by Monday by putting up http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CBCx5xvVfvs

You know, a quick release of them doing covers would be able to pay the investment on hiring a camera crew for the o2?

Same here, great track, but a shame they didn't write it themselves.

Great track. I can't really understand why The Horrors haven't released their own recording of it yet. Unless they did and I missed it.

It was a free download during the JFPL era.

It's ok, nothing really special.
