The Girl From Tiger Bay - should we consider it a PFAYM era song?

Hello everyone.
I'm the guy who sorted all the Manics b-sides, dividing them into the ten eras. Now the PFAYM era has just begun. We have 5 b-sides for the first single, but we also have a demo version (sung and played by Manics) of The Girl From Tiger Bay. Should we consider it as the first track, and the 5 b-sides as the tracks 2-6?
I think so, but let me know (i'll update the thread anyway).

I'd say so since the MSP version was only recently made available. It sounds closer to Postcards then Journal anyway.

oh, You're the guy
I'm impressed by Your CP, could You change the country code to ITT? Because everyone knows that the Sicily's in Italy, but ITT means individual time trial, which makes me laugh

Yes, it should be taken as a PFAYM b-side, Nicky wrote the lyrics so it can't be JPFL era...JFPL is Richey-lyrics-special

I'm guessing the band are planning on playing it live. Hence the timing of it appearing on the official site.

it all fits and ties in with that whole air of nostalgia they say the new album imbues and evokes.... like a bridging song between albums they've done a couple of times in recent years that gives an insight to where their sound could be going.

you really fucking hate the new stuff, don't you mate? my life will be complete when you mention how shit PFAYM is in the Avatar Extended Cut thread in Culture Sluts

i am not at all going to be surprised if the demo or a full band version features on the 2nd (or 3rd, proevpete call to boycott success pending) single, so i would imagine this track needs to go in with PFAYM.

Make it PFAYM, it's too commercial in its origin for JFPL

It's a bit like the Leviathan argument, do you put it with Lifeblood (released nearer to Lifeblood) or SATT (rockier, more confident sound familiar with SATT). Personally I'd put this song in the PFAYM era.

JFPL for me, considering it was written during the JFPL era.

I put Leviathan (and The Instrumental) as the closing tracks of the Lifeblood era, because they reminded me of the Lifeblood mood.
The Manics often released songs between two albums and it has been difficult to sort them and include them in an era. But I did it. And I think that TGFTB is closer to PFAYM than SATT.

I'd class it as a curio, not a b-side.

Those are covers, not Brafield/Wire songs.

JFPL is some way out of normal order, PFAYM era follows SATT era, JFPL was a break similar to solo albums era in 2006...
