Works for FD, if you stretch the definition of "scratching."

i don't think you have to queue at all, venues tend to let you in even if you arrive late. rest is a matter of choice

Following this whole thread from start to finish cracked me up!

I registered for the forums about 4 weeks ago and finally my account has been activated today (guess I know why they call it Forever Delayed - I joke)

A few days after I registered I received an email on an entirely different matter from Jim - a sony representative.

That email made me very happy.

So a few days later, on the Wednesday night, I drove 7 hours to London with my friend and then slept in my van for 5 hours.

Waking up at around 1pm we went for food then decided to check out the "secret venue".

The almost impossible to find Hammersmith Working Men's Club seemed to be a fantastic venue due to its quirky nature - The Manics + tiny venue = great excitement!

The experience was made even more fantastic when we spotted Martin Hall walking up and down the road on his mobile phone.
My friend and I are in a band and have just finished recording our first album.
"Lets give him a demo" we said.

Just then Nicky Wire walked out of the building and onto the pavement beside us.

I was lost for words and then found out that he is an absolute gentleman!

Telling him our plan to give Martin a CD he looked us up and down and simply said "Give it to me!", put it in his bag, and as we looked on with our jaws wide open in amazement he then said "I'll listen to that back at the hotel....while I put on my make-up before tonight's show".

I had a terrific day and after witnessing the strange sight of your hero, James Dean Bradfield, fuck up over and over again, I drove 7 hours back up the road!

The gig was amazing and it is something I'll remember for the rest of my life.

I count myself extremely lucky to have won a ticket and loved every single minute of it - I even enjoyed reading this thread spiralling out of control as I stood outside the venue listening to the Manic Street Preachers sound-checking!

He looked bored, we were probably doing him a favour having a chat. All the manics crew seem to be nice people, the music biz ain't so bad.
