So shouldn't the album be called 'Postcards From A Master of Racially Dubious Insults?'

Sorry, couldn't resist. That's quite impressive if Mozzer is a reticent about autographs etc as I remember hearing.

she'd send a postcard saying, 'Oh, my son's really ill, could you send him a postcard?'

Did anyone also notice that Nicky recently said he wanted to write a song for Morrissey? Yeah, that can be another to put on the 'fuck off' pile alongside replies from Damon Albarn and Klaxons.

I've got all these brilliant ones from Morrissey, and one from The Jesus And Mary Chain, where Bobby Gillespie wrote, 'Get well soon, from Jesus Christ'."

priceless!

I think it's odd he goes on to say "Not that I was.", I thought he was actually somewhat unwell health-wise (nothing really serious though) on and off? It seems like he's battled with a variety of unrelated medical problems in the Manics era, I thought I remember reading about a fair few maladies in Everything too.

I assume because he understands that the implication of the way she worded the request (describing him as 'really ill') suggested permanent, life-changing, or even life-threatening, illness. Whatever his health issues, he obviously doesn't consider them serious in that sense.

Oh yeah, I know that he would know his own health of course, but he might've been pulling one over on his mom in regards to the severity that she bought into, perhaps, or they were both in cahoots, like he's making it sound like, either way.

I've said this elsewhere, but... Seriously, Mrs Nicky's Mum... Not a clever thing to have been doing. And not something I'd be proud of. If I had the cards and wanted to brag about them, I'd say "mum got me them by writing cheeky letters to the band" or something. I don't think I'd admit that she lied about something like that! Not that my mum would.

This kind is, because it's just such a non-event. I mean who really cares?
