I don't remember Nicky talking too badly about Lifeblood. Its one of my favorites by the manics. James on the otherhand...

I reckon GATS is their least favourite, but they think the fans dislike Lifeblood the most. They'd be wrong of course! Seems most people on this board liked Lifeblood, maybe if the band read it they'd know to play more songs from it. Same goes for KYE, although it is more disliked than Lifeblood. Their least fave should be GT as it just sounds embarassing for all involved, not that the new album is much better.

Well I pretty much paraphrased James and Nicky from the 'Last Shot At Mass Communication' documentary that was on C4 the other week, so I guess that is how they view themselves I'm pretty sure they've said that in other recent interviews too, about how they've realised there's two sides to the band. But I agree; it's a pretty narrow-minded way to look at themselves and kind of does them a creative disservice, because there's more to them than just two styles.

If I remember rightly it was Amanda Graceywire, who by the way is a very nice person indeed, so I'm not bad mouthing anyone before anyone says anything

Yeah, first few listens I gave it 7/10... It's working its way towards an 8/10... Dunno how people can say it's not sincere though, they've done what they said they'd do. For a change

Exactly! James always sounds sincere when he sings anyway!

The lyrics don't sound sincere. Too vague.
