yes its all well and good getting a ticket refund, but we cannot get refunds on hotels flights etc.

There are 94 other musical events within a 5 mile range of the Brixton O2 venue. Just see something else instead.

I am most sorry for people who flew not from Europe but from those from America or Asia, because for Europe it's not THAT expensive. or maybe me who was saving for the tour since March and who desn't have too many expenses, maybe mine viewpoint is missing something?
anyway, I feel very sorry for James, I know how sad he is. I was hoping to see Nicky again this year. oh how I'd love to see him again!!!!! *verysadface*

What, in magic mushroom season, and so close to the hills and woodland around Oxenholm?

to those complaining that they've lost money on hotels etc..thats the risk you take travelling to gigs. What do you want James to do? Destroy his voice for good so he never sings again just so you don't lose money? The man is ill very disappointing for all concerned...i've lost money too but thats the way the cookie crumbles. Same thing happened with Nicky last year... *they cant cancel people have booked hotels/trains* How many of you would go to work that sick? Very few i bet...

Well it's not a risk you take travelling to gigs....you say that as if it's people's own fault. But of course it's possible with any event, it's just really unfortunate.

It's no ones fault but it's still a risk of sorts. Cases of bands not even turning up because of whatever circumstances. It's a live performance so things can and inevitably will go wrong.

i just meant that when deciding to travel to gigs theres a possibility it might get cancelled for whatever reason at all and you need to take that into consideration when booking things. Some posts are very unfair to the band ...or they read that way. Of course its no one's fault this has happened

I know, and I'm not blaming James or the band (he's ill, and i really don't want him to risk his voice- I only want a little bit of communication (shall I say: mass communication ) about the rest of the tour: it might be expensive for them to rearrange dates, but it's expensive for the fans to travel hundreds of miles (hotels etc ...) too.

i will concede that despite my little rants those who are travelling from other countries need to know asap. I just find it difficult to believe its lack of consideration...at least on the band's part anyway

Have been a victim of this happening both with U2 and the Killers... on both occasions had flights and accommodation booked.

If your flights were with a big airline, call them. In 2006 re U2 I rang Qantas and against everything they've every shown me about how they value customer service (er, nil), they understood and let me hold the flights in credit without penalty.

I wasn't so fortunate with the Killers, who cancelled after the lead singer's mother died. Virgin held my flights in credit but charged me $50 to rebook (which is standard).

Accommodation I never pre-pay, so that wasn't a problem.

But do try ringing the airlines.

Bands hate cancelling, it's annoying but if someone's sick they're sick. It's just part of it I'm afraid.

good idea..tho i don't hold much hope for anyone flying with a budget airline

BSP will do December and other reoganised dates!

All being good we'll do all rescheduled dates. Touring with MSP has been ace. We just ate a whole Victoria Sponge Cake for Abi's birthday..

Me mate Alex (Nasal Scarecrow) bumped into Wire in Charring Cross yesterday, apparently he was really nice and apologetic, offered to get him on guestlist for the rescheduled date. Bless him.
