Wink Funniest thing the band have had to do whilst promoting albums and singles on tv or ?

For example when one of the band members had to handwrestle a sheep puppet.

Endure an interview with Davina McCall?

I was going to go with getting stressed, glaring at her the whole interview and accusing her of being racist.

Nicky sitting next to Carol Thatcher on The Politics Show or whatever it's called was a highlight for me.

I'm assuming this is the 'Gimme 5' appearance you're referring to, if so, I'd also like to add that lipsynching a song like 'From Despair to Where' in front of a bunch of dancing 11-13 year olds on this program must have been a pretty hilarious experience for them. That performance makes me laugh, especially James' reactions...priceless!

Btw, regarding this Nobby The Sheep story, can anyone confirm this actually happened? I have the interview and performance from the show, but Nobby only appears at the end of the program "head banging" away as the Manics play. I've never seen footage of them armwrestling or being interviewed by the puppet as has been claimed. Did it really happen or is it just a bit of a Manics myth?

Yes I only remember the sheep headbanging along at the end, I don't remember any actual Manics/sheep puppet interaction.

Maybe. It's hard to tell - I'm usually too busy eating my own fist from sheer embarrassment to actually focus on the finer details.

That was the only interview I was aware of that had Manics/Hand puppet interaction.

I think the Gold Against The Soul spraypaint thing has to be up there. I can just imagine Nicky suggesting it to James, Richey and Sean. Most likely being told to fuck off by Sean.

I HATE RHONA CAMERON. I don't hate many people but she's in that tiny compilation (together with Michael Stipe and 3-4 others.)
